Travis & Company Turns 30This year Travis & Company celebrates a major anniversary. It has been thirty years since John Travis, a veteran of Kendall and Pfizer, founded the firm. 1978 was a difficult year to start a company – the economy was weak, inflation was high, and the country was in a deep malaise. But in spite of all that, Travis & Company thrived. From the very beginning, Travis & Company focused on recruiting the most senior executives and board members for medical device and biopharmaceutical companies. Today, we believe we have a longer track record of focusing on these markets than any search firm in North America. Nothing is more critical to business success than great management. Our clients understand this, and have looked to us to fill their most important executive positions. We thank them for them for their business, their trust, and for the opportunity to help them build and grow their companies. Of course, longevity alone is not a virtue. But thirty years on, we’re better than ever at delivering great results for our clients. In the last two years we have expanded our staff, opened an office in California, and continued to build on our reputation as a leading retained executive search consultancy. We remain true to our roots as a boutique. We limit the number of searches we work on so our principals can personally lead every assignment. And our small size means we can source candidates with a free hand, unconstrained by client blockages, to deliver the best candidates for every job. Thanks to our clients, candidates, and friends. We look forward to helping you for many years to come.
